LOUIE DANIELE ® jewellery items are manufactured to the highest craftsmanship standards involving a stringent three tier quality control craft process.
Apart from the issuing of a professional appraisal certificate, we validate every manufactured jewellery item by offering a lifetime authenticity warranty* on the authenticity of the metals and gems used in its creation.
In the unlikely event there is ever a problem with your ring, notify us to obtain a return reference number and securely ship it using a return reference to us for inspection.
If the problem is deemed to be caused by a manufacturer defect, we will make the necessary repairs free of charge. If it is deemed the problem was caused by normal wear and tear, then we will only charge for the cost of materials (metal, diamonds, etc) needed to make the repair.
Manufacturer Warranty
Items made by LOUIE DANIELE ® ,also referred to as “LD” under this warranty, are made free from defects in material and workmanship at the time of its purchase. Our products are covered by a six month craftsmanship guarantee. If you believe your item has a manufacturing defect, you may return it to us for inspection.
For this Manufacturer Warranty to apply, you must follow the care and cleaning instructions.
If the defect is as a result of erroneous manufacturing , it will be repaired or, if we deem appropriate, replaced. Should the said item be no longer available, LOUIE DANIELE (“LD”) may, at its discretion, replace it with a like-for-like item.
LOUIE DANILE ® will not be liable for any loss or costs incurred in such an instance.
If we determine that the fault is not caused by a manufacturing defect, we will notify you. A repair voucher subsidy may be offered.
Please note that slight irregularities and variations in craftsmanship or natural material characteristics, metal discolouration or internal inclusions, visible or otherwise, in coloured gemstones are unique and individual to each item. These characteristics are considered as part of the character of the item, and should not be considered a defect.

What does this warranty not cover?
This warranty does not cover damage from abuse, commercial use or other non-consumer use, neglect, abnormal wear or tear, overheating, or any use not in accordance with the custom jewellery instructions provided. This warranty does not cover damages such as the cost of repairing or replacing other property that is damaged due to a defect in the custom jewellery piece, the cost for transportation of the custom jewellery piece to get warranty service, loss of time, loss of use, or other consequential or incidental damages.
In the event of the item being worked on by any party other than LD, this Warranty will expire and cancel with full effect.
*The lifetime authenticity limited warranty does not apply to custom jewellery products made with CZ, Synthetic, Simulant or any other material used, and products not manufactured by LD.
Jewellery is subject to the wearer as well as normal wear, daily activities and accidents. Hands are extensively used thus rings especially should be regularly inspected.
We do not provide warranties for damage due to normal wear, product loss, loss of stones or theft.
Damage or loss that results from failure to obtain repairs necessary to maintain the integrity of the product are also not covered.
Some examples of common jewellery issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include: Discoloration due to exposure to chemicals, make-up, swimming pools, jacuzzi or swimming. Prongs and precious metals, in general, wear over time and may require “building up” or restoration work as normal wear. Bent, caught or worn out prongs(s) allowing a stone to fall out or be lost due to normal wear or other damage. Lost stone or a stone has fallen out due to chipping or breaking caused by normal wear or other damage.
Discoloration of some alloys are not covered by this warranty, as it is not considered a craftsmanship defect, but rather a characteristic of the selected metal alloy.
Metal discolouration has the following characteristics:
White alloys
White Gold (9K) Yellow tone
White Gold (14K) Light Yellow tone
White Gold (18K) Light grey tone
Silver (925) Black tarnish
Platinum & Argentium don’t have any discolouration and maintain their natural white glimmering sheen.
Platinum does have the ability to scratch whereby the metal surface area is displaced and not eroded or lost, this phenomenon is called ‘Patina’ which gives Platinum a unique characteristic over time.
Rose/Pink alloys
Rose Gold (9K) Yellow tone
Rose Gold (14K) Very Light Yellow tone
Rose Gold (18K) Light Red tone
*Rose Gold alloys are temperamental to change appearance (colour) based on hot or cold conditions.
Yellow alloys
Rose Gold (9K) Yellow tone
Rose Gold (14K) Very Light Yellow tone
Rose Gold (18K) Light Red tone
Who is covered by this warranty?
This Lifetime Limited Warranty covers the original retail consumer purchaser, or a consumer who receives the manufactured jewellery piece unused as a gift from the original retail purchaser. Coverage terminates if a covered consumer sells or otherwise transfers the manufactured jewellery piece (this warranty is provided only to consumers, and all express and implied warranties to non-consumers are disclaimed).
