RETURNS POLICY

Our commitment to you does not end at delivery. Items may be returned or exchanged within 14 days from when they were shipped / collected.

LOUIE DANIELE creates products made from the finest materials and free from defects in workmanship. 


 

Our Return Policy

We accept returns for exchange within 14 days of delivery or collection. 

For items to be eligible for a return,  items must be returned in their original purchase condition, including all original packaging and product documentation, and shipped back to us within 30 days.

 

To expedite an exchange for a different product, we recommend returning the original item for a credit and placing a new order. Please allow two weeks for a return credit to be processed.

 

If a package or item delivered to you arrives damaged, please notify us immediately.

Claims for damaged or missing items must be reported within five days of receipt of your order. 

LOUIE DANIELE ® is not responsible for lost or damaged returned shipments.
 

Extended Holiday Return Policy

To ensure your recipients will love your holiday gifts, orders shipped from LOUIE DANIELE ® starting November 15, are eligible for an extended holiday return policy and can be returned free of charge to LOUIE DANIELE ® until 15 January. Our normal 14-day return policy will resume on 26 December 

 

Non-Refundable Items

  • Engraved rings and jewellery items may not be returned. 

  • Custom-made orders are not eligible for return or exchange.

  • Loose diamonds, whether natural or lab-grown, and moissanite.

  • Diamonds purchased as part of our LOUIE DANIELE ® Diamond Upgrade Program may not be returned for credit, but can be exchanged within 14 days.

  • Special orders are not eligible for return or exchange.

  • Items purchased on sale are not eligible for return or exchange.

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • Returns with missing paperwork, packaging or product will not be processed.

 

Definition : ‘Standard product’ item - 

“Any product item available for sale directly on www.louiedaniele.com without any design,

aesthetic or functional alteration / configuration” 

 

Definition : ‘Custom made’ item - 

“Any product item made to order with specific design,

aesthetic,  functional, size or unique material configuration. This includes standard collection items which may be out of stock at the time”

 

Non-Resizable Items

Diamond and gemstone eternity rings with a set number of gemstones per finger size; milgrain or ornate bands; some silver rings; or rings with alternative metals such as Tungsten cannot be resized, so please take care to order the correct ring size at the time of purchase. For assistance determining the proper ring size, please contact customer service or use our online ring sizer tool.

 

International Returns

Additional shipping charges may be incurred if packages are returned. LOUIE DANIELE ® reserves the right to charge your credit card for any fees we incur at the time of processing your inbound return. 

For international orders, the 14-day returns period begins on the date you receive your order.

How To Prepare A Return

To return a diamond or jewellery item to LOUIE DANIELE ® please follow the process below:

  1. Notify us of your return. Obtain a return reference number. ​
     

  2. Select your carrier and initiate your return.
     

  3. Package your item(s) securely in the original packing materials. If your return is for refund or exchange, please include any diamond grading reports or appraisal(s). Diamond grading reports and appraisals are not required for repairs and resizing. If your item was delivered with a diamond report and that report is not returned, you will be liable for the cost to replace the grading report. The cost to replace a missing diamond grading report is ZAR 3,400 and is the direct fee paid to GIA to re-grade that diamond. (or an equivalent amount in other currencies) 
     

  4. For security reasons, do not write LOUIE DANIELE ® anywhere on the outside of the box.
    You may only write the name of the logistics handler.

  5. Insuring your return shipment for its full purchase value is strongly recommended. We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles. If using our complimentary return service, the shipping label emailed to you includes insurance protection. If you are not using our complimentary service (ex. free return label quota already met, or returning for resizing, cleaning, or repairs outside of 30 days), we offer a specialised return shipping voucher option, which includes a shipping service and insurance protection at discounted rates. 

 

After Your Return Is Received

Returns are processed on weekdays and typically entered into our system within 24 business hours of receipt. Once entered into our system you will receive a confirmation email alerting you that your return has been passed along to our Quality Assurance department.
Please allow 5 - 10 business days for this process to complete.

If you are expecting a credit, It may take up to a further 5 business days to process after the quality assurance process is completed.

Please note that after a significant holiday, heavier return volumes can double the normal return processing times.
